Worth repeating
I attended AD:Tech Chicago today. The keynote was given by Rishad Tobaccowla. He's the CEO, Denuo. If he publishes a book I'll buy it.
. . . marketing is understanding and meeting customer requirements. (think customer service - external & internal)
. . . social media works for those that have an advantage / point of distinction over competitors
. . . detractors are 4x - 8x more likely to speak out than advocates;
. . . marketing is king; know your unique niche / point of distinction and focus on that
. . . the future does not fit in the containers of the past . . .
. . . only the schizophrenic will survive; must have multiple models in place so can transition and grow
. . . to understand someones behavior then you must understand their incentive
